8 Iona Crescent, Glasnevin – a house of horrors…

Who’d have thought that in a quiet suburb of Glasnevin it would be the scene of one of Ireland’s cinema’s horror stories. Picture the image of the young girl in the Exorcist and you can picture what went on in and around the doors of 8 Iona Crescent. If you frighten easily, don’t read on…

8 Iona Crescent and Iona feature regularly for some disturbing scenes including Zombies attacking the owner of No 8 Iona Crescent, Zombies at a baby’s cot, zombies passing by as the mother and son play in the living room and more – creeeeeepy!

Written and directed by David Freyne.

The Cured tells the story of reformed Zombies who re-enter mainstream but they still retain all of the memories of what they did while they were zombies (think typical Zombie stuff such as murdering and devouring their families and friends).

The film stars Ellen Page (Juno, X-Men: The Last Stand), Sam Keeley (What Richard Did, The Siege Of Jadotville) and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (Love/Hate, Avengers: Infinity War).

“Your the reason they’re not safe” – scene of mother and child playing before a Zombie makes its appearance…

I suppose I have a highly developed capacity for self-delusion, so it’s no problem for me to believe that I’m somebody else.
